Rick was standing at the corner where his friends stood, smoking cigarettes and cursing at everyone who passed by.  A car went by with he window open, he flicked his cigarette in through the open window.  It landed on the lap of Jenna, burning her new silk gown on the way to the opening of a new play downtown.  Instead of apologizing he cursed her and walked away, as his friends all congratulated him on his new glory.  There was another day when he was out, a rival gang hit the corner where he stood killing his brother.  When he reached the hideout of the gang to exact his revenge he was ambushed by several of them.  When the beating was over, he was left for dead in the back alley, his brothers dead body dragged to lay beside him.  Rick passed out, when he awoke he found Jenna standing over him.  Too weak to move he begged her for mercy on him, and begged to be taken to the hospital.

  Two days later another member of his gang, who had congratulated him got shot in the back of the head.  When Rick got out of the hospital he heard of this and went to the leader of the gang Sawyer T, and asked for his help in getting the rival gang back for what they had done.  In the process of their plan, Rick got killed and the only surviving member was Sawyer who, even though severely beaten and shot twice in the back, managed to crawl to the steps of the nearest building to beg for help.  Strangely enough it was a church he had crawled to, and from the outside steps he yelled for help and mercy to the priest inside, for he couldn't even crawl into the doorway.
