There were two men running a race in an open field, then in the distance there was a sound of rushing water.  The first runner turns to the seconds and yells, "I think there's a cliff up ahead, I'm going to quit the race."
The second runner laughed, "Good that means that I am going to win the race!" and he picked up speed.
The first runner slowed down just in time to see the second runner go falling off the cliff to his death.

17 He that is soon angry dealteth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

Paula was one of the most popular chicks in school, Dan would ask her day after day to go out with him.  She would always refuse and walk away with her friends till one day he got upset and walked over to her and said, "I don't know what your problem is, you're not even worth my wasted effort."
Her friends all giggled and later remarked how hot headed he was.
Dion was after her at the same time, buying her gifts all the time and asking her out.  Everyone thought for sure she would go out with him for buying her jewelry and stuff.  But instead she later remarked that she couldn't be bought, and disliked him more for thinking she could be.
