23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

Stacy and Jerri were together after school, the end of the school year was coming up and soon it would be summer.  They both wanted to get extra money for the summer and for the next year, Stacy put in several applications for work.  Jerri just talked about getting a job and getting an application.  All summer Stacy worked and got money, while Jerri just talked about it.  When it was time to go back to school, Stacy had all new clothes, while Jerri had the same old ones because she didn't go to work and had no money to buy anything.

24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

There were two sisters, one was named Martha the other Crasta.  Crasta was always going around spreading rumours and making fun of people, generally wasting her time goofing off and acting up.  Martha was always reading a book of some kind and trying to help people with their problems.

One day a man came into town looking for some help, he needed to learn how to make his corn yield more in the field.  When he asked a few of the farmers in town they directed him Martha, because she had ready many books on the subject and warned him not to go near Crasta because she would waste his time.

25 A true witness deliverth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

There was a fire at the apartment complex where Jean worked.  Two groups of firefighters came, one on either side of the complex.  Jean was with the first group, she told them that there were several people trapped in the back apartments.
Tracy lived in the back parts, as the firefighters rushed up she told them everyone was already safely out.
If Tracy had gotten her way three people and two small children would have died, but because Jean told the first group, they were saved.
