Tracy walked home from school through dark alleys and back streets, sometimes bums and vagrants would stumble on to her path and try to scare her. But because she went to church and prayed she was never scared, for the Lord kept her safe from all harm, and none ever tried to attack her or talk to her.

27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

If you believe in God, keep his commandments, live by his word, and accept Jesus Christ as your savior and king then you will have everlasting life. When you die you will continue living instead of going out like a candle flame.

28 In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

King Jeshophat was popular among his people, he was well loved and all obeyed his laws with enthusiasm. Every year his kingdom grew and grew from travelers who came from afar to live there under his rule. But day by day the young Prince Gefar grew worried, for if his rule was not as great he would lose half the kingdom.
